Rustic bells with natural jute loops displayed on an oak rail

Three ways to style rustic bells at home

A few well-placed objects can make a room feel more personal. With rustic bells, the warmth is already in the material: textured metal, an aged finish and visible jute fibres.

Start at the entrance

A graduated trio looks thoughtful beside a console or along an entryway rail. Hang the bells at different heights and leave a little space between them. Keep surrounding pieces simple — a bowl for keys, a single branch or a favourite ceramic vessel.

Before choosing hooks or fittings, ask us for the exact weight and hanging measurements of your chosen set. Fixings should suit both the bells and the surface you are using.

Bring texture to a console

Natural wood and warm metal work well together. Arrange the bells as a group beside linen, a small stack of books or a ceramic bowl. Let the difference in size do the work instead of adding too many accessories.

Try keeping taller pieces towards the back and smaller pieces nearer the front. Step away and look at the shape of the arrangement before adding anything else.

Keep a mantel considered

A bell display can feel at home beyond the festive season. Pair it with a little greenery or one piece of pottery, and keep the rest of the mantel calm. Avoid placing bells or jute near direct heat, candles or open flames.
