Our Story

Made by hand. Finished by fire. Heard in every ring.

Bells Village brings the art of handmade bell making from our manufacturing work in Roorkee, India, to homes and businesses. Our store is operated through our UK company; our craft remains rooted in India.

A craft shaped around sound

A bell is more than a decorative object. Its form, materials and clapper come together to create its voice. Sound is part of why we make these bells, alongside the texture and character they bring to a space.

Iron, brass and fire

Our rustic bells begin with iron. Brass is applied through a traditional baking process: a brass-bearing coating is baked onto the metal, and the outer coating is removed to reveal the finish beneath. Variations in tone and surface are part of the result.

Wooden clappers and natural jute complete the bells. They are iron bells with a baked brass finish, not solid brass.

For homes and considered spaces

We offer a focused collection of bell sets for everyday interiors and seasonal decorating, alongside wholesale enquiries for shops, designers, florists and hospitality projects.

Look a little closer

A surface with a story.

The raised seams, uneven tones and softly distressed surface are part of the bells’ character. A baked brass finish catches daylight differently across each piece.

Natural jute brings another texture: visible fibres, simple knots and a soft contrast to the metal. These are the small details you notice when you live with an object.
